I am a 25 year old American girl who, after spending 2.5 years living in Lille, France and breaking up with my now ex-French boyfriend (otherwise known as FBF), decided to continue the French adventure and move to Troyes. I spend a lot of my time being baffled by the French (including, but not limited to, their culture, food, and language), and have now added a masters program to my plate. I've decided to share not only the moments where I feel a part of this foreign land, but also the moments where I simply don’t get it. C’est ma vie quotidienne (It's my everyday life)!
An hour east of Paris, in the heart of Champagne, is the lovely little mediaeval town of Troyes made up of 9 churches and a ridiculous amount of timbered houses.
Where the eff is Lille?
It's in the upper right hand corner of France, on the border of Belgique (Belgium), on the coast of La Manche (the English Channel), and basically the farthest north you can go and still be in France.
How on earth did you get this job???? Nice. Bon chance de lest êtats!
